With a strong emphasis on innovation and collaboration, our aim is to empower individuals and communities, equipping them with the tools to surmount challenges and construct a brighter future.
Our mission is unwavering: to guarantee that the most vulnerable individuals and communities have access to life-saving aid, essential services, and enduring support. By working hand in hand with local communities, governments, and strategic partners, we endeavor to cultivate inclusive approaches that tackle the underlying causes of inequality and vulnerability.

Integration of DIY Ukraine into Verdis Red Cross
The integration of DIY Ukraine into the Verdis Red Cross is a powerful union that combines the strengths, expertise, and resources of both organizations. This collaboration enhances our collective capacity to provide aid and support to those in need, ensuring a more efficient and coordinated response to humanitarian crises.
As a newly formed organization, the Verdis Red Cross embodies a fresh and dynamic approach to humanitarian work, reflecting our commitment to adapt and innovate in addressing the ever-evolving challenges faced by communities.
Through this integration, we gain valuable insights into the local context and community dynamics from DIY Ukraine. Their grassroots knowledge, coupled with the established network, expertise, and resources of the Red Cross, empowers us to deliver comprehensive and sustainable solutions to address the most pressing humanitarian needs in Ukraine and beyond.
Moreover, this integration opens up exciting opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and resource mobilization. Working closely with governmental and non-governmental entities, we aim to forge strategic partnerships that drive positive change on a broader scale. By leveraging our combined networks, we can attract increased support, funding, and expertise, maximizing our impact and expanding our reach.
With the close cooperation and support of our Ukrainian representative and their team, we aim to provide a diligent assessment of individual needs to allow efficient allocation of resources to those in need. We work with individuals who believe that charity is not a job to profit from and who will dedicate any expenditures to necessary equipment or logistics without managerial salaries and paid fundraisers diverting resources from practical needs. Our trustees will ensure that resource allocation is transparent, ethical, and publically viewable. Our representatives on-site facilitating these projects will provide updates on progress and advice gained from real-world experience to help volunteers and other organisations with accommodation, logistics, security, local customs, and regulations. We hope this will build camaraderie and inspiration to positively impact efforts around the world.
Our members have been active in Ukraine since the full Russian invasion commenced and are dedicated to providing ongoing support throughout the conflict and rebuilding process. We are dedicated to animal welfare and humanitarian projects in other areas led by our regional representatives and will prioritise these projects as our resources and the situation in Ukraine allow.
Throughout the transition, both the Verdis Red Cross and DIY Ukraine are committed to ensuring a seamless integration process, prioritizing the continuity of ongoing projects and services. The dedicated staff and volunteers from both organizations will play vital roles in the Verdis Red Cross, upholding the core principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and universality that guide our work.
